Visit Dubai has collaborated with Indian couturier Gaurav Gupta to launch a capsule collection inspired by Dubai’s cultural and architectural landscape. The collection was unveiled at Gupta’s flagship store in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, on February 15.
A Fusion of Heritage and Modernity
The collection features five designs inspired by Dubai’s landmarks:
- The Silver Pearl Gown – Metallic silver breastplate and abstract embroidery reflect historic district arches and Dubai Creek’s water.
- The Sculptural Pearl Gown – Cascading arches mirror Dubai’s desert dunes.
- The Celestial Sculpted Cascaded Gown – Over 2,000 crystals emulate sunlight on Hatta’s mountains and Al Seef’s charm.
- The Wave-Sculpted Sand Gown – Moondust embroidery and wave-like sculpting capture Hatta’s interplay of light and shadow.
- Dusk Sculpted Gown – Rawness of nature meets the poetry of couture, the gown transforms the transient beauty of dusk into a timeless work of art.
Gaurav Gupta said, “This collection explores form, movement, and Dubai’s essence. Every detail encapsulates the city’s transformation and grandeur.”
Bader Ali Habib, Director of Proximity Markets at Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Visit Dubai), stated, “This collaboration highlights Dubai’s vision to be a sustainable fashion hub where tradition meets modernity.”
The collection is now available on order at select Gaurav Gupta stores in India, with online availability on a price-on-request basis.
