The Indian Garage Co. unveils new store at Amanora Mall, Pune

Fast fashion brand The Indian Garage Co. has strengthened its offline presence with the launch of its latest store at Amanora Mall, Pune. The opening was announced by an Amanora Mall executive on social media, marking another step in the brand’s aggressive expansion strategy.

Located on the first floor of the East Block, the store offers a curated collection of contemporary menswear, catering to young, fashion-forward consumers. The Indian Garage Co. has built a strong reputation for its trend-driven designs, blending affordability with style.

Rapid Growth and Expansion Plans

Founded in 2012 by Anant Tanted, The Indian Garage Co. initially embraced a direct-to-consumer (D2C) model, leveraging technology to democratise fashion. Over the years, the company has scaled rapidly, reporting a turnover of ₹400 crore as of June 2024, with an ambitious target to hit ₹1,000 crore in revenue within the next 3 to 5 years.

Operating as an asset-light, EBITDA-positive business under a House of Brands model, The Indian Garage Co. oversees labels such as TIGC (menswear), FreeHand (womenswear), and Hardsoda (plus-size menswear). The brand received a significant boost last year when TMRW, a venture by the Aditya Birla Group, invested ₹155 crore in the company.

Accelerated Offline Expansion

While The Indian Garage Co. made its name as a D2C powerhouse, it ventured into offline retail in October 2024, launching its first store in Bengaluru. The brand has since adopted an aggressive retail expansion strategy, with Pune being one of its latest markets.
