About Sandeep Jabbal
Sandeep Jabbal is a technology industry veteran, with over 18+ years of experience. His specialization is retail information technology and over the years that he has been in the field, he has been associated with some of the bigger retail players of the industry, responsible for major brand transformations.
Jabbal has vast experience in strategic IT leadership, IT operations, programme management and digital transformation.
In his past experiences, Jabbal served as Vice President – Information Technology at Jubilant Foodworks (Feb 2018 – May 2022); Head of IT at Marks and Spencer Reliance India (Aug 2010 – Feb 2018); and Project Manager at Birlasoft (Oct 2004 – June 2010).
He has delivered large IT projects in diversified domains, including FMCG, retail, finance, and manufacturing, in his earlier stints.
Roles & Responsibilities
In his current role of Customer Care Associate and Chief Digital Transformation and Information Officer at Shoppers Stop (May 2022 – Present), Jabbal is known for his strong leadership, digital transformation initiatives, knowledge of IT operations and top-notch program management.
A Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Mechanical engineering (1995 – 2000) from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology and an MBA, Marketing and Finance (2002 – 2004) from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, Jabbal’s work in establishing an Information Technology Infrastructure Library and technology road-mapping is much admired.
He includes management of all systems, applications, and products, software development life cycle, points of sale and enterprise mobility among his skills.
