Snitch appoints ex Bestseller India’s Varun Muralidharan to head retail ops

D2C menswear brand Snitch has appointed Varun Muralidharan as the lead retail operations and projects. Prior to this, Muralidharan was working with BESTSELLER India as retail manager. He will be joining Snitch from March 1, 2024.

With a background in retail operations, business development and marketing, Muralidharan is expected to bring a wealth of experience and expertise to Snitch.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mr Muralidharan to our team. His exceptional leadership skills and enthusiasm for transforming the retail landscape make him the ideal employee for initiating new business opportunities and Strategic offline Expansions,” said Siddharth Dungarwal, Founder, Snitch.

Snitch, which started operations in 2020 and recently secured a funding of Rs 110 crore, is on an escalated growth track. “The company plans to open 15 new stores by the end of 2024,” Siddharth Dungarwal told IMAGES Business of Fashion on the sidelines of the India Fashion Forum 2024, held in Bengaluru in February 2024. Muralidharan’s appointment aligns with the company’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team and driving this growth.

The appointment comes close on the heels of the hiring of Rare Rabbit’s Mayur Ashtekar to lead business development & offline expansion. Ashtekar will be responsible for overseeing the entire spectrum of Snitch’s retail business development. READ FULL STORY HERE

As Lead Retail Operations and Projects Head, Muralidharan will oversee the entire spectrum of Snitch’s retail operations. His main focus will be on Store Operations management for overseeing day-to-day activities within retail stores, including inventory management, staffing, customer service, and sales performance. Additionally, he will be responsible for customer experience enhancement for developing initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention through enhanced service, personalised experiences, and efficient checkout processes for the company.
