Raymond Lifestyle Limited has announced the appointment of Sunil Kataria as Managing Director and Gautam Hari Singhania as Executive Chairman. These appointments mark a significant step in strengthening the company’s leadership as it approaches its centenary year of operations.
Sunil Kataria has been with Raymond Lifestyle as Chief Executive Officer – India & International since March 2022. Kataria is an experienced Profit & Loss head with a demonstrated history of business transformation during his previous roles as the chairman of the Indian Society of Advertisers and CEO of India & SAARC at Godrej Consumer Products Limited. Skilled in marketing management, business planning, strategy, sales and team leadership, his present elevation to Managing Director highlights his contributions to the brand and its operations in both domestic and international markets.
Additionally, Gautam Hari Singhania, a commerce graduate from the University of Mumbai, brings over three decades of expertise in industry, business, and corporate management. As the Chairman and Managing Director of Raymond Limited, he has played a pivotal role in policy planning, strategic vision, and long-term development. His new role as Executive Chairman of Raymond Lifestyle Limited is expected to further drive the company’s growth and operational efficiency.
In a recent SEBI filing, it was revealed that 86.85% of the 4,17,57,480 votes cast were in favour of Singhania’s appointment, while 13.15% were against it. The special resolution was proposed in a Postal Ballot Notice dated November 4, 2024, and was passed with the required majority.
Raymond Lifestyle Limited, a major player in India’s retail industry, was listed on the stock exchanges on September 5, 2024, following its demerger from Raymond Limited. Gautam Hari Singhania continues to lead both entities, bringing his strategic expertise to their multidisciplinary functions and operations.
