Gokyo, an emerging Indian adventure apparel and gear brand, has opened its first store in South India, located in Bengaluru. This new outlet, in collaboration with the outdoor retail chain Mountains Within, is at LV Plaza, Banaswadi.
In addition to its flagship store in Mumbai, Gokyo products are available in major outdoor stores across Maharashtra, Noida, Srinagar, and Sikkim. The brand plans further expansion in South India with a new store in Hyderabad.
The Bengaluru store aims to serve adventurers ranging from seasoned mountaineers to casual hikers with a comprehensive range of products. The grand opening was officiated by former MLA Vinisha Nero. The event included a Meet & Greet with Everest climbers Sunil Nataraj and Venkatesh Maheshwari, co-founder of Gokyo.

Gokyo offers a range of outdoor and trekking products designed for treks up to 20,000 feet. The new store will feature Gokyo’s Explorer, Alpine, and Sherpa series, catering to various climatic conditions and expedition levels.
- Sherpa Series: For extremely cold temperatures from 10°C to -5°C, with special fabrics for comfort, flexibility, and heat retention.
- Alpine Series: For intermediate adventurers in mild winter conditions and lower altitudes, protecting against cold and UV rays.
- Explorer Series: For beginners, offering protection against mild winters and lower altitudes, safeguarding against cold and sun exposure.
The brand name ‘Gokyo’ is derived from Gokyo Ri, a peak famous for its panoramic views of the Everest region. Drawing inspiration from the Sherpa tribe and Gokyo Lake at its base, the brand’s vision and mission are deeply rooted in this heritage.
