Indian direct-to-consumer (D2C) skincare brand Foxtale has raised $30 million (approximately INR 250 crore) in its Series C funding round. The round saw participation from Japanese multinational company KOSÉ Corporation, alongside existing investors Panthera Growth Partners, Z47, and Kae Capital.
Foxtale and KOSÉ Corporation have entered into a strategic partnership to expand KOSE’s presence in India. They plan to combine Foxtale’s D2C expertise and local market understanding with KOSÉ’s global experience in the beauty industry. The partnership aims to enhance research and development efforts to cater to the Indian skincare market with advanced and efficacious products.
“This funding by KOSÉ Corporation will enable us to scale faster, innovate deeper, and bring effective and accessible skincare to even more people across India. Beyond growth, this partnership also marks a step towards fostering stronger global relations, blending international expertise with local insights,” said Romita Mazumdar, Founder, Foxtale.
Foxtale has achieved a 150% growth rate in FY25, driven by its D2C website, which accounts for 50% of the brand’s revenue. The company has a 50% repeat customer rate and offers a portfolio of 20 products, including a newly launched body care range in 2024. With a presence on major e-commerce platforms and 1,000+ retail outlets, the company serves over 15 lakh customers across India.
The latest funding will support Foxtale in scaling operations, expanding market presence, and strengthening R&D capabilities. The company aims to achieve profitability by the end of the next financial year.
KOSÉ Corporation, founded in 1946, manufactures and markets cosmetics with a focus on high-value and affordable products. This partnership aligns with KOSÉ’s strategy to expand its presence in India’s growing beauty and skincare market.
