Indian footwear brand EGOSS announced plans to significantly expand its production capabilities with a new state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Agra. The new facility will increase the company’s production capacity from 1 million to 3 million pairs of shoes annually.
The expansion aligns with the ‘Make in India’ campaign and aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a prime investment destination. Agra, known for its leather footwear, will further enhance its reputation as a leading city in global footwear production.
EGOSS is targeting a stronger presence in Tier II and Tier III cities across India while maintaining its international market reach, which includes the Middle East and Asian countries. The brand’s strategy involves innovation in design, the use of new functional materials, and a commitment to sustainability.
“We envision a world where crafted footwear is synonymous with our brand,” says Ravindra Bhatia, Founder of EGOSS. “The proposed plan lets us reach that goal without compromising the intrinsic strengths built over the years. We are quite positive that with enhanced production capacity, coupled with strategic market expansion and a commitment to innovation, along with strong belief in being environment-friendly, EGOSS shall be synonymous with trust for generations to come.”
EGOSS continues to monitor market trends and adapt its product lines accordingly, catering to the growing demand for sneakers and vegan materials. The company operates three brands: EGOSS, Lafattio (luxury footwear), and Ladyboss by Egoss (women’s footwear). Its products are available online and in over 2000 outlets across India.
