Coach unveils winter 2024 collection

Coach has debuted Stuart Vevers’ Winter 2024 collection, continuing his vision of American heritage through the lens of youth counterculture. The collection emphasises layered knits, party dressing, and new interpretations of American archetypal pieces.

Building on the previous season, Winter 2024 updates iconic pieces in real-world contexts, merging traditional concepts of dressing up and dressing down. Knitwear features prominently, with argyle, cable-knit, and intarsia cardigans, sweaters, and leggings. Tailored tuxedo jackets and full skirts in tweed and taffeta contrast with plaid pants, boxer shorts, and T-shirts and sweaters featuring comic character Popeye carrying the Tabby bag. The collection also includes bold leather outerwear in metallic gold and pale blue.

“Our Winter collection is all about exploring the archetypes of the American fashion language and reinterpreting them for today’s generation,” said Vevers. “We are designing for real people, who are not necessarily in a resort or on a cruise, but moving through the real world. One moment they might be bundled up against the cold, and the next they are at a holiday party. It is a spontaneous, care-free way of dressing.”

The collection’s leathergoods include the Times Square Tabby in a festive metallic finish and the new Kisslock Frame bag in metallic and Glovetanned leathers, as well as Signature knit versions with layered charms inspired by New York City. Charms and jewelry feature crystal pavé versions of the Statue of Liberty, taxi cabs, and ‘I ♥ NY’ mugs and teddy bears.

In line with Coach’s commitment to sustainability, the collection includes organic cotton T-shirts, repurposed denim trousers, and silk taffeta dresses reimagined as party skirts. The house continues its work with regenerative leather, showcased in a classic leather bomber jacket.

The collection was introduced through a lookbook of individual and group portraits captured at Alder Manor in Yonkers, New York. Models from Fall’s street-cast show were featured, bringing new faces to the Coach runway and community. The setting and cast embodied a collection that feels unique and contemporary.
