Fashion industry veteran Rakesh Jallipally has announced his departure from AZORTE in a LinkedIn update as he transitions into his new role as Vice President at Flipkart.
With over 17 years of experience in the fashion and apparel industry, Jallipally has served as a strategic business leader who has successfully built, grown, and managed multiple brands across diverse markets and segments. Jallipally has also helped launch AZORTE under the aegis of Reliance Retail as AZORTE’s Vice President and Business Head.
Reflecting on his journey with AZORTE, Jallipally described it as a thrilling and adventurous ride, filled with challenges and learning experiences. “Building a format like AZORTE from paper to reality is nothing short of a thrilling & adventurous ride. It has been quite challenging yet a great learning experience for me,” he wrote.
Jallipally has also spearheaded the transformation of several brands—increasing their market share and profitability—in his previous roles as the CEO and COO of Arvind Fashions Limited.
He has also leveraged his skills in key account management, new business development, and customer relationship management to forge strong and long-lasting partnerships with key stakeholders, including retailers, distributors, suppliers, and consumers. Additionally, as an early-stage investor, Jallipally has been a mentor to promising startups, fostering innovation in emerging market segments.
