Meesho has noted a surge in orders for products aligned with Gen Z’s values, including eco-friendly fashion items like reusable straws, sustainable clothing, and self-care products such as makeup wipes and resistance bands.
To cater to Gen Z’s shopping habits, Meesho is leveraging Generative AI to create a personalized and intuitive shopping experience. The platform launched India’s first large-scale multilingual AI-powered voice bot, which offers personalized fashion recommendations and helps users navigate the platform with ease. The AI-driven shopping experience is particularly beneficial for first-time buyers in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, providing product recommendations and vernacular search options.
The platform has also implemented AI to improve the fashion retail shopping experience by offering personalized notifications, product recommendations, and vernacular voice search.
