Flying Machine CEO Nidhi Raj resigns, effective February 2025

Arvind Fashions Limited, part of the Lalbhai Group, has announced that Nidhi Raj, Chief Executive Officer of its Flying Machine brand, has tendered his resignation. The resignation, dated November 11, 2024, was formally disclosed by the company to the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. on November 12, 2024, as part of its regulatory obligations under SEBI guidelines.

According to the company’s statement, Raj, who has served as CEO since November 2021 will step down from his role at the close of business hours on February 28, 2025, as he plans to pursue opportunities outside the organization.

This announcement was made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Prior to leading Flying Machine, Raj held several leadership roles at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., where he was instrumental in driving significant transformations across multiple categories, including kidswear and menswear. As Brand Head for Peter England’s kidswear segment, he built the business from scratch, delivering benchmark growth despite challenges. Earlier, as Product Director for India’s largest menswear brand, he executed a sourcing strategy overhaul, improving Net Promoter Scores by 35% and enhancing cost-to-price ratios.

With over two decades of experience in the fashion and retail industry, Nidhi Raj brought a wealth of expertise to Flying Machine. Reflecting on Flying Machine’s evolution, Raj said in an earlier interview with IMAGES Business of Fashion, “With access to cutting-edge technology and best-in-class collaborations with industry experts across the globe, Flying Machine has evolved into a well-established jeanswear and innovative fashion brand. Our focus on Gen Z audiences is reflected in our digital marketing strategies, influencer collaborations, and exciting in-store experiences.”

Flying Machine, a brand under Arvind Fashions Limited, has gained popularity as a prominent player in the jeanswear segment, known for its innovative approach and youth-centric appeal. The company has not yet announced a successor for the role.
