Amazon India has observed a significant increase in consumer demand for premium lifestyle products as the festive season approaches. This trend coincides with the ongoing Amazon Great Indian Festival, where customers can enjoy discounts of up to 80% on fashion and beauty items.
The festival features the lowest prices of the year on a range of products, including ethnic wear, watches, smartwatches, and more. With over 30 million selections from 1,500 fashion brands and 1,300 homegrown beauty brands, Amazon Fashion and Beauty offers a curated range designed to meet diverse styles and budgets.
Key insights from Zeba Khan, Director of Fashion and Beauty at Amazon India, indicate that gold and diamond jewelry, particularly lab-grown diamonds, have seen a five fold increase in demand. Smartwatches experienced a tenfold surge, while premium watches grew by six times. Men’s sneakers and ethnic wear also showed substantial growth, with increases of over seven times and 7.5 times, respectively. Additionally, trolley sets saw a twenty-threefold increase, and luggage demand rose by 6.5 times. In the beauty sector, luxury categories grew fourfold, driven by fragrance sales.
“These trends highlight our customers’ growing demand for premium, high-quality products. As we approach Dussehra and Dhanteras, we expect this momentum to continue. At Amazon Fashion and Beauty, we are committed to delivering diverse brands, trending styles, and new launches that cater to evolving customer needs—all at exceptional value,” Khan remarks.
As the festival continues, Amazon aims to meet the evolving customer needs with a diverse selection of brands, trending styles, and new product launches, all at competitive prices.
