About Samrat Banerjee
Samrat Banerjee is an experienced retail technology veteran with a demonstrated history of working in the IT services industry across CPG and retail, primarily in India and USA.
Samrat is a strong professional with an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Science from Jadavpur University. Throughout his career, he has been associated with renowned retail giants including GE, General Motors, ITC, Spencer’s and now Emami.

Prior Experience
Prior to joining Emami, he was Vice President – IT (CIO) at Spencer’s Retail (February 2021 – August 2022). Before that he was with ITC Infotech as Divisional CIO (March 2013 – February 2021), Delivery Head (October 2010 – March 2013) and Program Manager (March 2005 – October 2010).
Banerjee, who has a CIO Certification from Indian School of Business in 2013, has studied Supply Chain Management at IIM, Bangalore in 2007 and has completed his BE in Computer Science from Jadavpur Univerisity (1992- 1996), counts Digital Strategy, Data Analytics, IT Strategy, IT Management, Technology Evaluation, Digital Transformation, Program Management and IT Operations among his skills.
